Civilizations
Civilizations have had a massive rework in the way they work and handle throughout the entirety of the server.Once you choose a civilization, that choice is permanent. You do have the option now to play without a Civilization, however it is very recommended to do so as you get all of the buffs. If you are to make a Faction, you must choose a Civilization. Faction Civilization alignment is dependent on the leader. If the leader is a Wind Runner, that Faction is now a Wind Runner faction, though anyone from any Civ can join.
Factions
Factions have also been heavily reworked. The standard faction idea is still the same where they are required to claim land. Each land claim is one chunk, from bedrock to height limit. Claiming a region means your builds, storage, etc are protected from basic interactions. However, you can still be raided. When making your first claim, you will get a Faction Core. These are essential for leaderboard progression and perks for your Faction. You can store TNT, spawners, and money inside of them. However, your Core's coordinates will be visible inside of /f who. If your Faction Core is destroyed, you will become Core Dominated where your claims are no longer protected. This means attackers will have unrestricted access inside of your base, and you will lose the items inside of your Core.
Faction Bank and TNT bank have been moved to Faction Cores. Before, they were accessible via commands with no restriction. In order to use your Money Bank or TNT Bank, a core must be placed down. You can upgrade your Core's capacity with Core Upgrades inside of the Core Terminal.
| The Emerald and Obsidian tiers requires Archduke and Warlord ranks respectively. |
Anyone can upgrade the Core's capacity tier, but Emerald and Obsidian depend on the leader of the Faction being able to access those tiers.
KOTH
KOTH is returning and it is better than ever! We have two kinds of KOTH: Civilization and Faction. These are pretty self explanatory. Every player in the winning Faction or Civilization a KOTH Crate Key. And if a Civilization wins the KOTH, they will get a 2x Sell Multiplier in the /shop (though this doesn't show in the GUI).KOTHs are started periodically throughout the day, however Warlords can start Faction KOTHs every hour with /koth start.
Dungeons
Dungeons. These have been the biggest pain point from the start of this gamemode. However, we can finally say we have finished them.We have reworked and updated how these work. They are the same concept as before, but you can now complete them. Custom mobs with skills and OP loot spawn, and it is your job to complete the dungeon and escape.
You get rewards for participating. As long as you are in a dungeon for at least five minutes, you will get a Normal Dungeon Crate. Completing a dungeon gives you a Legendary Dungeon Crate.
It is recommended to play with a party. Parties have a max of four players. Invite them with /dparty invite <name>
Bosses
Bosses have had a major overhaul from before. One of the biggest changes is that we have removed Ezekiel and replaced it with Deep Creature - a giant Warden. Other changes include the way loot is distributed:You now need to be the top 8% of damage contributors to get rewards. Depending on the party type for the boss, you will get a boost for the threshold. For example: a Solo fight gives you a 100% contribution weight, and a Global fight gives you a 5% contribution weight. Each difficulty for bosses gives you different rewards too. Easy fights give you less money and an Easy Boss Crate Key, and Nightmare gives you more money and a Nightmare Key.
And yes. Loot is now given through a crate. We have removed the random loot pool and claiming system.
When you die in a boss fight, you will not get any reward. You will also get weakness for 30 minutes.
Blueprints
Blueprints are finally here! These are basically what it says: Cannon Blueprints. Placing one down lets you build a cannon automatically. These can be purchased with /cannons with in-game money. However, blueprints can be destroyed by other Factions with TNT or breaking it if it isn't claimed.Crates
This update has introduced quite a lot of crates. Mainly for dungeons and boss fights. To name a few, we have Easy -> Nightmare Boss Crates, Dungeon Crate & Nightmare Dungeon Crate, along with Weapon Crates, KOTH Crates and more!A lot of the crates give custom items with non vanilla enchants and custom models.
We do have some purchasable crates too: Weapon Crates, Armour Crates and Limited Time Plushie Crates. These are Non-RNG, so you can pick what you want.
Mechanics
PVP
PVP is 1.8 based. That means: no hit delay, sword is the strongest, and shields aren't required to block. Knockback has also changed to best fit what 1.8 was like.Crystals, Maces, Wind Charges, TNT Minecarts, Lingering Potions, Tipped Arrows, Slow Falling are disabled.
Cannons and TNT
We are using 1.18 Cannon Mechanics. This means cannons you use need to work on this version, otherwise they can blow up. All of our blueprints are designed for this version.TNT can destroy obsidian in three hits.
World Size
We have set the world size to 10k (5k each direction) in the Overworld and the Nether. The height limit is 320, and the world goes down to Y0 (negative Y does not exist).Factions / Power
Claiming land is based on Faction Power. Each factions gains 10 power per player, and one power = 1 chunk of land. You can lose power when you die, and regain one power every hour.If the amount of land you have claimed is higher than your current power, you are at risk of being overclaimed. This means any other Faction can claim over your existing land and take it for themselves.
However, anyone can access containers - even enemies - without needing to dominate you.
Farming
There are two main types of farm: crop and spawner. Items stack into one entity (this may be revised later) and may affect some farms.Spawners can be picked up with a diamond pickaxe, and obtained throughout the server. They can also be stacked - placing spawners on existing spawners will stack them together.
Domination
There are different ways domination takes place: PVP and Cores.PVP domination requires you to declare enemies. Deaths are based on a ratio, once you kill an enemy, the ratio of kills is tracked. Kills are not tracked permanently though, they expire after 10 minutes of no activity. If one faction has 7x more kills than another, domination is triggered. Once domination is triggered, a 10 minute timer begins. During this time, you have full access to the land of the faction you are dominating. Extra kills reset this domination timer to 10 minutes.
Core domination requires you to declare enemies and destroy their Faction core. You will be dominating them until they replace their core.
